1. Scope

This policy explains how Sopifo collects, uses and shares personal data when you use our website, shop pages, storefronts, checkout and seller dashboard.

We process data as a marketplace operator. Independent sellers may also collect buyer details (for example WhatsApp numbers shown on a shop page) under their own practices — ask the seller if unsure.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, phone (if provided), role (buyer/seller), profile and addresses.

Order data: items ordered, amounts, payment method, transaction IDs you submit, delivery address and order status history.

Shop/seller data: shop profile, products, inventory, Facebook page connection tokens/metrics (if you connect Meta), subscription and support tickets.

Technical data: device/browser type, IP address, cookies or similar for login sessions, language preference and basic analytics if enabled.

3. Why we use data

To create accounts, operate shops and storefronts, process orders, show trust scores and reviews, provide support, prevent fraud, and improve the service.

To send transactional notices (order updates). Marketing messages are only sent where you opt in or where permitted by applicable rules.

4. Sharing

With the other party to a transaction (buyer details to the seller for fulfilment; shop/order info to the buyer).

With service providers who host our database, authentication, file storage, or analytics — under contracts that limit use to providing those services.

With authorities when required by Bangladesh law or a valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International storage

Our infrastructure (for example cloud database or auth providers) may process data outside Bangladesh. By using the platform you understand data may be transferred to those providers subject to their safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep account and order records as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal/accounting needs, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account; we may retain limited records where the law requires.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (access controls, encrypted connections). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your choices

You can update profile and address information in your account. You can request access, correction or deletion by contacting support. You can switch language preference in the site header.

9. Children

The platform is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a minor provided data, contact support so we can delete it where appropriate.
